Te Mana Tūhono
Te Mana Tūhono
is a long-term programme of support, provided by the Ministry of Education and the Network for Learning (N4L), that removes the burden on schools to monitor, maintain and manage their ICT networks.
Loosely translated, Te Mana Tūhono means the power of connection.
School Network Upgrade Project (SNUP)
Once your school has opted-in to Te Mana Tūhono, N4L will complete your School Network Upgrade.
N4L will contact your school about the Te Mana Tūhono programme 2-3 months before your network equipment expires, which is on your 5 year SNUP/WSNUP anniversary.

- Online safety and security
– The N4L service has been designed for safety. It provides safe, predictable internet with online content filtering and network security services.
- Maintain your upgraded ICT network
– Schools are responsible for keeping their ICT network maintained to the current Ministry standard, and must use an approved ICT contractor to do so.
- Managing student and teacher data
– Simplify and automate tasks for running your school, and share data between students, teachers, and schools, with these systems and tools.
