The Ministry of Education support schools to make the best use of their improved fibre connectivity.
The School Network Upgrade Project (SNUP) subsidised and managed upgrades of internal data and electrical cabling for state and state-integrated schools. It came to an end in 2016. All New Zealand state and state-integrated schools now have the ability to access high quality, high-speed internet.
If your school's network was upgraded before 2012, you are eligble for a subsidised upgrade to wireless.
